John A. Straka III

John A. Straka III is a 1987 Honors
graduate of Bucknell University, and a 1990 graduate of the University
of Pittsburgh School of Law. While
in law school, Mr. Straka served as a law clerk at the Pittsburgh firm
of Pietragallo, Bosick & Gordon, and remained with that firm after
his admission to the Bar in 1990. While
at Pietragallo, Bosick & Gordon, his practice involved commercial
and personal injury litigation and general civil defense practice. He
defended local, regional and national corporations, both directly as
well as through their insurance carriers.
In March of 1994, Mr. Straka joined the
Maiello, Andrews & Price firm as a litigator.
While with Maiello, Andrews & Price, Mr. Straka defended
numerous municipal clients in a wide variety of civil rights and
employment lawsuits. He
also participated in tax collection and real estate assessment
litigation for a number of school districts and property owners in
Western Pennsylvania. In
addition to his representation of municipal clients in civil litigation
matters, Mr. Straka also represented corporations and individuals in
civil trials.
Mr. Straka is a member of the Western
Pennsylvania League of Financial Institutions, where he has lectured on
creditors' rights, employment law and regulatory matters.
He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the
Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
His practice today focuses on enforcement
of lenders rights, employment and discrimination cases, civil rights
litigation, real estate assessment litigation, and general corporate,
commercial and personal injury litigation.
